About
Anna Larnicol
Product Designer - Paris
Product designer, 5 years in technical B2B software. Usually the first designer hired, and often the only one. I take products from early research and scoping all the way to shipping, and I'll write front-end code with AI when it's faster to just do it. Mostly worked with no product manager, straight with founders and engineers, on early-stage products still finding their shape.
Experience
Git-like and AI-native data modeling for textile and automotive engineering teams. Joined at 4 people as the design function and rebuilt the product; grew with the team to ~20. Work hand in hand with engineers, shipping UI-level code and polish to production myself. AI runs through my daily workflow: prototyping, UI code, research synthesis. Own discovery end to end alongside the PM: scoping, user research, prioritization.
Contract product-design roles for industrial startups. At NRJx (energy, Seed, placed via OSS Ventures), the startup studio behind Niagara, 8 months: led research and delivery on a data-visualization problem, turning raw data into something actionable by users. At SCorp-io (building management, Pre-Seed), 2 months: delivered a rule engine for a BMS from research they'd already done.
Nov 2021 – June 2024, sole designer · acquired by Vitesse Automation
Founding Product Designer
Niagara (Pre-Seed)
Sole designer for an industrial data platform for edge applications and industrial data, backed by OSS Ventures. Acted as PM on delivery (strategy held by the CEO): owned discovery, tracked dev tickets, ran client demos, built hi-fi prototypes. Ran 50+ user-research interviews in an emerging technical domain; built and maintained the UI kit. Carried the role through Niagara's acquisition by Vitesse Automation: product continuity, new visual identity, dev handoff into the acquiring team.
